The launch rocket, LauncherOne, was sent into orbit from a Boeing 747 aeroplane named Cosmic Girl. It did manage to launch ten small NASA satellites (CubeSats) into low Earth orbit, but it failed to reach its planned orbit and nine other satellites (for seven different customers) were not launched.
